Debra35 days agoOur family vacation at The Highlands was absolutely incredible. The property was exceptionally spacious, comfortably accommodating our entire group of 14 people. Everything was pristine, clean, and tidy when we arrived. We made full use of the fantastic amenities, especially the pool, hot tub, trampoline, pool table, and soccer field. Mary75 days agoThis is an amazing house with amazing facilities, but I want to keep this a secret as there’ll be too many bookings & I won’t be able to return!It was perfect for our multi-generational group, particularly in the middle of a heatwave. The house is really well equipped, & there are plenty of living areas so 14 people don’t have to spend every minute together if they don’t want to. We used both Pool House & the Games room bedrooms, which gave additional ‘space’ if needed.The outdoor facilities are great, and again are perfect for all ages.I can’t say that there’s lots to do in the vicinity, as we only left the house on one evening to go to the nearby pub. (The Black Horse has indoor and outdoor tables and serves a good casual meal, with some vegan options.) One of our group commented ‘The fact that we haven’t left the house says everything about it’.To sum up - we had a brilliant time & hope to return soon.VerifiedPosted on Airbnb

Trevor341 days agoSixteen of my family stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my sons 40th birthday. The location was perfect, i.e. we are from Kent and Essex, not too far to come. The weather was good to us so we took advantage of the football pitch and hot tub. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the swimming pool so we were not able to use it but there again, we were informed the pool was only available until the end of September. I am sure our hosts did their best to get the pool operational.....we still enjoyed our stay. I book a place of this size every year for my extended family and this was the best experience I've had.Victoria was away the week we were at the house but the house manager was very responsive to our needs. Ben419 days agoWe have just returned from an amazing weekend at Highlands for my wife's 40th birthday as a group of 3 families.The grounds are very well maintained with mature plants. The pool was nicely heated and a great hit with all ages. The table tennis, pool table, football pitch, trampoline and jacuzzi were all well maintained and fantastic additions.The kitchen area with the large island and dining table overlooking the pool area made for a great focal point and hub for socialising.Our only regret is that we are not still there!VerifiedPosted on Airbnb
Maria432 days agoMy friends and I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday and we were not disappointed! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The rooms were decorated nicely and were spotlessly clean.We loved how spacious the kitchen and dining area were too.I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is looking to keep a bigger group/family entertained for the weekend.Pub also 4 min walk down the road which is a bonus and offer a yummy roast of a Sunday.VerifiedPosted on Airbnb

Amanda468 days agoLovely property and a great place for a family holiday. Would recommend if you are planning a large extended family vacation. We had 3 generations come together and had plenty of space to stay and play together. The pool was in the perfect place on property and we got full use out of the football pitch and large garden area. The kitchen was well stocked with shops near by to pick up anything extra needed. Heather473 days agoWe had the pleasure of staying here for just a weekend with extended family, we wish it could have been longer. The house feels really homely and is fitted with lots of modern extras and beautifully decorated. The mature gardens are beautiful and well maintained, the house feels safe, clean and secure. Location wise we found it easy to get to for family traveling from the North and South as it’s just off the M25.We travel with our pet dog and he loved the local walks and woodlands. Shops are close by and there are plenty of things to do in the area also. The pool was lovely and warm, as was the Jacuzzi everyone really enjoyed their stay, will book again! Leona482 days agoAn absolutely gorgeous house with the most beautiful gardens.! We were a group of family friends who travelled up to watch our son play rugby in Twickenham for Brunel University. On arrival there was a bottle of Prosecco and a box of chocolate fingers with ‘Hoping for a win’ on the box which I thought was a lovely touch - and it must have brought us luck because we won!I cannot fault anything about the property and we will definitely be back! Elia498 days agoIt was 16 of us (13 adults & 3 minors) and we felt good from the moment we walked into the house. Beautiful place, garden, LOVED the kitchen & master bedroom. From the oldest to the youngest had an amazing time in London. Host Tom & Victoria were very supportive in our questions. We are planning another trip back and we definitely will be contacting them. The house is even larger than the photos, great kitchen, lots of amenities and we loved the manicured garden with many activities available. We were lucky to have sunny weather so could enjoy the cold pool. Hot tub was great! Very well located, pub close by, easy to reach via train. Hosts were responsive and easy communication, thank you! Karen566 days agoWe had a great stay for my Dads 75th birthday. The house was really homely, great spaces, the kitchen was the real hub for us. Well equipped, and lovely and warm. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. We went in Feb but can imagine how lovely it would be in the summer with the pool and the beautiful gardens. Samuel James600 days agoWe absolutely loved our stay at Victoria and James place. We booked it for my wife’s 30th birthday and it had everything we wanted. The house was very clean and had amazing facilities. James and Victoria were very responsive and helpful. One of our guests left a pair of trainers after check out which they have kindly offered to send in the post for us. We have already discussed booking this house again in summer months to have full use of the facilities with the swimming pool and BBQ. Paul618 days agoFantastic place to stay for a group of 3 couples plus kids. spacious and well planned out. Great kitchen for group dinners and en suites with most bedrooms which is convenient. on site activities made it so that a day staying inside with the kids was perfectly acceptable, even a 'man cave' style games room for myself and the other 2 chaps to hide away for a few hours in the evenings! We feel that having come in the winter we missed out on much of the great facilities and surroundings this property has to offer, the swimming pool for example and barbecues in the great garden. Will definitely look to book again in the future. Also only 15 minutes from Windsor and a 7 minute drive from some really nice nature parks.VerifiedPosted on Airbnb

Simon755 days agoLovely house with all possible amenities which coped very well with a party of 16 people, from great grandparents through to a 4 month old baby. Luxurious master bedroom, well equipped kitchen, well maintained gardens and a pool table and bar to boot!Four mega Supermarkets within 10 minutes drive to re-stock and a corner shop within walking distance. Easy access to the motorway network and London via tube / surface railway.Some of the surrounding area is a little dubious, but walking to the pub was no hassle.Communication with hosts was OK, but once we had Tom's number (maintenance ) all was good.Would definitely suit a large party of guests although there would be a fight for the master bedroom!VerifiedPosted on Airbnb

Richard794 days agoComing from USA, we wanted a memorable experience for our week long family reunion of 16, including 8 grandchildren ages 6-12. It was also our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Amenities perfect for kids, especially swimming pool (pay extra to heat it!) and trampoline. Close to Underground and plenty of parking on premises. Black Horse Restaurant and Pub easy walk and we had two dinners there. Younger adults found Red Lion Pub perfect as it had charging station for two of our rentals. Also within 5-10 minutes of co-ops and Aldi. The house has super modern technology but also English country charm. Plenty of bedrooms and baths that offered much needed flexibility with our particular group. Excellent response from our hosts during our stay when we had a couple inquiries. The fantastic house was the perfect setting for us to spend extra time with our closest friends in a spacious house with brilliant setting and setup. Highlands has everything you can need and more. Brilliant kitchen and living room space, excellent bedrooms and huge garden for everyone to enjoy.
